3 Day Juice Cleanse

As I stepped on the scales last Friday, I realised that I had made a good decision to start this juice cleanse….I have put on over half a stone (over 7 pounds)…I was mortified!  I wasn't surprised though. As you know from my Youtube fitness videos, I am a fitness bunny.  However, rewind to October 2014 and I was told (for personal reasons) that I was not allowed to exercise for 3 weeks.  After falling out of my workout sync, I was finding it very difficult to get the motivation to workout.  I also think that due to not being in the mindset, I found it easier just to come home and not exercise as much.

I remember being at work in December and thinking that my trousers felt rather tight!  As I've mentioned before, I hardly weigh myself, but I know when my body doesn't look 'right' and it wasn't looking right!

I therefore decided that come the new year, I will undertake a juice cleanse again (I had done one before I went to Italy last year).  The cleanse has come from The Natural Juicing Company.  In preparation, I made sure that I was back to my normal workout routine (and boy!  Does it feel GOOD TO BE BACK!) and also made sure I was putting in good things into my body.  What with Christmas, I'm sure that we can all say we overdid it with the food and alcohol.

I'm currently on the last day of the cleanse.  Yesterday was awful!  I wasn't hungry, but I wanted food! I wanted to chew and I wanted to taste.  A word of warning; day 2 is ALWAYS hard.  Day 1 = enthusiasm; Day 2 = No one with food should come near you; Day 3 = energised and you can see a difference.

I'll be making a video this week about my cleanse, so make sure you look out for it.  It will have full details on The Natural Juicing Company and my results.

Dr Stuart's Slim Plus Tea

If you follow my YouTube channel, you would know that I am a bit of a fitness bunny.  Staying in shape really does something to the mind, body and soul; my own personal results have been amazing.

I have previously talked about snacking and what types of food are beneficial to aid hunger pangs.  However,  I recently came across this Slim Plus Tea by Dr Stuart, which helps to suppress your appetite.  What I love about this tea, is that it's herbal and therefore, you are not pumping your body full of caffeine.  I must admit, when I took my first ever sip, I wasn't keen on the taste, but now, I love it.

I can defiantly say it had helped to suppress my appetite and I can now go from breakfast to lunch without snacking on anything.  When I took this photo, I was amazed to see my thighs looking slimmer - hurray!

It is available on amazon, but I have bought it cheaper from Holland and Barrett (£2.19 for a box of 15 bags).

Will you be giving Slim Plus a try?

Lunchtime thought - Why I work out

Since flashing (not intentionally) my stomach in a recent outfit of the day, I received a lot of comments and questions in relation to my workout regime. I will be doing an updated fitness video, so you are welcome to take hints and tips from that once it's uploaded. Anyways...one of my followers asked me why I worked out. "To stay in shape" I told her. But after thinking about it, my reasons were so much more than that.

My main workout is Zumba. I love dancing about and I always WANT to do it, rather than feeling it's a chore to put on my clothes and participate. I started working out well over a year ago and my main reason at the time was to tone up, so I felt (and looked) a bit better. With Zumba, I noticed the results quickly and was extremely happy. However, what I also noticed was that I wasn't as susceptible to illnesses anymore. I used to find that I would pick up a cold and be wiped out for a week. Now, I may feel rough for a day or two, but that's about it (with the exception of my recent viral infection- that was a nasty bug which went round work).

I think it's also important for ladies to keep themselves in shape for their man. Sometimes when you get comfortable in a relationship, you can start to slip when it comes to appearance. It's easily done and very often, you don't even notice it. So often you'd hear a lady saying that she wants her man looking right 'n' tight but then you'd look at her and think....you need to sort yourself out first love, before letting your expectations run wild!

So for all those reasons above and of course, wanting to prolong my life, I work out! And I feel so much better for it! If you don't work out, try something that may interest you. Get the old heart ticking ;).
